The Gut Check Challenge is more than just a mud-run. It’s more than just some obstacle course. It’s an event. It’s a grueling, make-your-muscles-burn, test of bad ass-ness wrapped in beer and barbeque! In the true spirit of a “Gut Check”, we’re here for you to test yourself. There’ll be other competitors, but this isn’t about whether or not you can beat them. Hell…you just may have to help a few of those others through some of the obstacles. No…this event is for you to see exactly what you’re made of.
So sign up. Show up. And drink up….Just don’t give up! We’ll see you at the finish line!!

Join us for this chip-timed 5K and Kids 1K with a superhero costume contest, bounce house, special superhero guest appearances and more! Don’t miss your chance to register since the 2012 CASA Superhero Run sold out!

The CASA Superhero Run supports the CASA programs of Travis and Williamson Counties. CASA speaks up for children who’ve been abused or neglected by empowering our community to volunteer as advocates for them in the court system.

Eyes of the Wold 8k

Description:

Set in the middle of the Texas Post Oak Savannah. Rolling terrain, soft soil with coastal bermuda grass, beautiful big loblolly pines and post oaks. Single track with an open feel.

Entry Fees:

$30/person through May 31st, $35.00/person June 1st through June 28th, $40 late registration

Runners and walkers will receive a t-shirt. Registrations taken after 5/31/13 may not be guarnteed a t-shirt. Late registrations are not guaranteed a t-shirt.

No dogs allowed. No refunds.

Overnight Camping Fees:

$5/person All camping is primitive, RV’s yes but we have no electric hookups and do not allow generators of any kind. Again, primitive. It is a peaceful place and our campers always enjoy hearing the love and laughter, thanks.

Awards Ceremony:

casual, during the post race celebration.

Packet Pickup and late registration:

Friday June 28th at Core Running Company in San Marcos, 11am to 6pm.

Saturday June 29th at Moody’s in Red Rock 11am to 6pm.

Sunday June 30th at Moody’s in Red Rock 6am to 7am.

Directions:

Due to the many locations that our runners will come from we suggest you use google maps

and input 121 Meuth Cemetery Road Red Rock, Texas 78662. We would suggest that you not wait until Sunday morning to understand your planned route to the race.

Mark your calendars for the 5th annual Water to Thrive 5K and Kids’ K at the Dell Diamond on September 7th, 2032. Make it a family affair, bring a friend or register to run, walk or jog as a team.

The Water to Thrive 5K and Kids’ K is a family-friendly day of fitness and fun that helps Water to Thrive transform lives through the gift of clean water, a gift we often take for granted. Funds raised from the event will help the Austin-based non-profit, Water to Thrive, build clean water wells in rural Africa.

When you register for the 5K or Kids K you will receive entry to the race, a race packet and event t-shirt. After the 5K and Kids’ K, stick around for live music and family-friendly activities.

November 23, 4:00-6:00 p.m. at GCMC, Pre-Race Packet Pickup
November 24, 8:00-8:45 a.m. at GCMC, Late Registration
9:00 a.m., 5K Fun Run/Walk Race Day Event Services Chip Timed
(Awards Ceremony will follow! Drinks and snacks provided for participants at finish line.)

$10.00 17 & Under
$25.00 if you pre-register before November 2nd to be guaranteed a t-shirt and bag
$30.00 Registration on race day
Checks can be made out to Greens Creek Methodist Church. Registration is final, no refunds.
All proceeds will be donated to the March of Dimes in memory of Memphis Rein Magin.

Age Groups:
12 and under, 13-17, 18-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65, 66 and up
Awards will be given out to overall male and overall female winners, the top 3 male/female finishers in each age group.

The course: is an out and back course beginning and ending at GCMC.

CR 381 will be closed for race traffic. Please enter from CR 242. Parking will be located behind the church.

Directions: Signage will be posted.
From Stephenville: Go 377 South towards Dublin. 1 mile from Tractor Supply turn right on CR 351. Travel 1.7 miles and turn right at CR 385. Turn left on CR 242 and go 1.8 miles. GCMC is on the left.
From Dublin: Go 377 North towards Stephenville. Turn left at Allsups on CR 351. Follow 2.8 miles around to CR 373 and take a left. Travel 1 mile and turn right on CR 242. GCMC is 1 mile on right.
