The Baytown Heat Wave is run mostly on flat, concrete / asphalt-surfaced streets through the southwestern section of Baytown. The course encompasses Bicentennial Park, the City Hall Complex and residential areas of this section. Because of the combined heat and humidity on July 4th, this can be a tough race, not for the meek, or the untrained. It is an RRCA Championship Event. The awesome post-race party features beer fest, sausage on a stick, and watermelon. The top male and female receive $100.
