It’s a hilly half-marathon east of Austin, but for women, it’s a chance to get pampered. Set for March 27 & 28 at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Bastrop, the 2nd ZOOMA Austin Half Marathon, 5K & 20K Relay expects nearly 2,000 women runners and walkers.

 

The ladies will be treated to lots of perks– wine, post-race massage, a necklace for half marathon finishers, and women’s-fit technical race tees. Men are also welcomed at ZOOMA events and a handful are expected to run the challenging half marathon course this year.

 

This year’s ZOOMA Austin race includes some exciting new additions, including a 20K Relay on Sunday, where four team members will each complete a 5K loop.  ZOOMA is also offering a “Fitness Challenge” for those who want to participate in the half marathon on Saturday and the 5K or Relay on Sunday.  For women looking for a girls’ weekend fitness getaway, ZOOMA Austin is an excellent option.
